Wilhelm II, full name Friedrich Wilhelm Albert Viktor von Prussia (born January 27, 1859 in Berlin; † June 4, 1941 in Doorn, Netherlands), from the House of Hohenzollern was the last German Emperor and King of Prussia from 1888 to 1918. In the so-called Year of the Three Emperors, the 29-year-old Wilhelm II succeeded his 56-year-old father Friedrich III, who ruled for only 99 days. and his 90-year-old grandfather Wilhelm I. to the throne of Prussia and the German Empire. Through his mother, Victoria of Great Britain and Ireland, he was the grandson of Britain's Queen Victoria.
