This piece displays almost miraculous preservation, given the decades of bag storage that the great majority of survivors likely endured. Only the most trivial evidence of coin-to-coin contact appears on Liberty's face. The silvery surfaces are flashy and virtually untoned, save for a touch of gold around the obverse rim. The strike is full throughout, and the reverse shows surfaces that are nearly unmarked. Some typical die clashing is visible on the right reverse by the eagle's wing.
