Owner Comments:
I found the older Large Cents, those from the 18th Century challenging to find both problem free and affordable. The Liberty Cap Cent, the 4th type of Cent, was minted from 1793-1796, with a combined mintage of a bit over 1.5 million, it is the first cent that is available in a problem free VG or even a G in which the date is visible for less than $5,000ish. Hence, the first affordable one on my budget. This VG example fit the Bill for me, with a readable date, and enough detail to appreciate this 18th century coin.
