Owner Comments:

This 1880 CC Morgan with the reverse of 1879 is the more plentiful version but still with an estimated mintage figure of less than 500,000. Why I selected this coin: this choice MS example is blast white, has a solid strike, a prooflike reverse, good luster and surfaces, and it doesn’t hurt that it is housed in an old GSA Hoard holder.
