Owner Comments:
The brilliant Lincoln Wheat cent was minted from 1936-1958. Like the 1936 Buffalo nickel, the 1936 cent came in two different finishes: brilliant and satin. Besides replacing the matte proof finish of 1909-1916, the engraver's initials returned to the cent proof in 1936. Not seen on a proof since 1909, "VDB" was moved from the lower reverse to under Abe's shoulder on the obverse.
This excellent example has awesome color and flawless surfaces. It is top-pop with its cameo designation.
