Population data:
(Y) Shenyang Mint, 1 of 2,495; (S) Shanghai Mint, 1 of 2,421, and (G) Shenzhen Mint, 1 of 2,646.
Shenzhen is essentially the equivalent of our Philadelphia Mint - China's "Mother Mint," striking the bulk of the Panda coins. The other two mints are far smaller, and strike Panda coins to satisfy domestic rather than international demand. It's beloved that only 40% of the 2020 mintages will be struck at both mints combined.
