CAC approved. Among pre-1853 Seated quarters, the New Orleans issues are collectively scarcer and more sought-after than their Philadelphia counterparts. This 1847-O representative has few superiors in Mint State. The Borderline Uncirculated surfaces retain hints of luster enough to illuminate mottled olive-gold and lilac-gray toning. The strike is a touch soft on the eagle's left (facing) leg, but the devices are otherwise well-detailed.
