1777 marks a year of transition in Mexico City assayers -- the initials F.M. are for Francisco de la Peña and Manuel de Rivera -- and is the last year of this pairing where this pair produced the majority of coins. A small number of FM assayed coins are known for 1778 but they are extremely rare.
This example is a recent upgrade and replaces the last coin of the set that appeared in the original version in 2010.
