Item Description: $1 1840
Full Grade: PCGS AU 58
Owner: Sandon

Owner Comments:

This is one of the sharpest struck Seated dollars I've ever seen, sharper than some proofs! I purchased this pleasing coin at auction in 2012. Although the 1840 is the first year of issue for this series, relatively few were saved, and they are scarce at or near the uncirculated level. Photos courtesy of Stacks Bowers Galleries.
