Owner Comments:

This is a beautiful specimen of the proof only 1887 over 6 "clear overdate" variety, with mirrored fields and frosted devices. I bought it at a coin show in 2015 from Tom Reynolds (yes, the early coppers specialist). Most specialized dealers have some other coins, which can sometimes be purchased at reasonable prices.
