Here's another rare three cent silver with an original mintage of 4,500 and most believed melted in 1873. I bought this coin at a Bowers & Merena auction in 1999 for much less than it lists today. The coin is silvery with some luster and no hint of a proof surface. It is housed in a PCGS green label holder.
