This is my favorite coin! Probably long ago someone lightly engraved a decorated line across the hair on the side of Liberty's head and made a few other lines in the hair near her shoulder. It is an otherwise appealing and relatively original Flowing Hair dollar, which I purchased at auction in 2012. Photos courtesy of Stacks Bowers Galleries.

The BB-27, B-5 is the least scarce variety of 1795 Flowing Hair dollar. It is easily identifiable by the thin raised bar at the back of Liberty's head, which points toward the fifth star.
