I realize that Theodore Roosevelt was not particularly enchanted by Barber's design but, I have always appreciated his efforts. All Barber coinage is genuinely scarce in the higher grades and this original piece is no exception. This coin was purchased at a Heritage Signature Auction in Long Beach, CA. It is extremely well struck, no distracting blemishes and exhibits beautiful colors that the photos cannot duplicate. NGC has only graded 23 in MS65 and PCGS has seen 21/10. Original Mintage-3,280,000.
