This coin is pure white with no toning or haze, has clean deep mirror fields and a substantial amount of cameo (obv: cameo-, rev: pr+). This coin is extremely attractive, clean, haze free and is very close to meriting a cameo designation. The contrast between the deep fields and cameo devices produces excellent eye-appeal. Like many others who have collected proof Walkers, the 1942 is the first one I was able to acquire. Part of the reason is that this year has the highest number of high quality coins available with excellent eye-appeal that have been carefully preserved over the decades. The eye-appeal of this coin makes it a real standout among 1942 proof Walkers! Could this coin be resubmitted in hopes of a Cameo designation? Some might try to crack it out and resubmit it making this the type of coin that distorts population reports. And the odds would be against it coming back as a Cameo. More reasonably, it is a great candidate for a Star designation.
