The Monkey is the ninth of 12 animals in the recurring 12-year Chinese zodiac cycle. Monkey years include: 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016. Interestingly, Monkey years are all multiples of 12 — from 12 AD, through 1200 AD. 2016 was a year of the Monkey, and the next Monkey year will be 2028.
