Owner Comments:

The 2007 $5 gold coin celebrates the 400th anniversary of the settlement at Jamestown, Virginia. The obverse features Captain John Smith standing opposite of the Native American chief, Powhatan. The reverse features an image of what ruins remain of the Jamestown Memorial Church at the first colony in America.

There were 18,623 uncirculated and 47,123 proof coins produced by the West Point Mint. The MS70 and PF70 graded coins are plentiful and easy to find at an affordable price. I have a few of these in their original mint capsules. They are pretty easy to source on Ebay.

Ebay auction purchase from Royal Coin And Jewelry, 03/28/2018, $355.00

Gold started the year at $513/oz. and ended at $635.70/oz. (A jump of almost 23.9%)
