Owner Comments:
Three commemorative dollars were issued in 1991. The second dollar commemorates the 38th anniversary of the Korean War ("38th" because of the 38th Parallel, the border between North and South Korea). The obverse of the coin features an image of a soldier charging up a hill, rifle in hand. The reverse features an outline of the counties of North and South Korea, along with the head of an American Eagle. There were 191,368 uncirculated coins produced by the Denver Mint and 618,488 proof coins minted by the Philadelphia Mint. These dollars are fairly easy to find in perfect MS70 condition, but are difficult to find in perfect PF70 condition.
