This Patricia Lewis Verani designed coin features a quill pen and a sheaf of blank parchment paper on the obverse with the inscription from the Constitution "We the People." The reverse shows a grouping of 13 different figures (a statesman, a frontiersman, a cowboy, et al) meant to convey the country's social and cultural diversity.
