A very nice specimen for the type. As minted. At the time of purchase (January 2018) NGC had certified 53 coins, including 1@65 and 1@66.
From the sale’s catalogue: “Republic Peso 1899 Zs-FZ MS65 NGC, Zacatecas mint, KM409.3. A supremely lustrous gem, exhibiting blazing argent surfaces and an enchanting golden tone near the peripheries. Only one has been graded finer for this date by NGC.”
