Owner Comments:

The first commemorative dollar of 2004 was the Thomas Alva Edison Silver Dollar, issued to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the invention of the electric light bulb. The obverse of the coin shows Edison holding a light bulb. The reverse features an image of light bulb emitting stylized rays of light, with the inscription "125th Anniversary of the Light Bulb."

There were 92,510 uncirculated and 211,055 proof coins produced by the Philadelphia Mint. The MS70 graded dollars are easy to find. I am still on the hunt for a PF70 graded dollar.
