Owner Comments:

Three commemorative dollars were issued in 1992. The first dollar was issued for the 25th Olympic Games in Barcelona. The obverse of the coin features a baseball pitcher getting ready to throw a ball. This coin is called the "Nolan Ryan" dollar by many because the pitcher on the coin looks like the famous pitcher as he photographed for a 1991 baseball card. The reverse features an image of the Union Shield with the iconic Olympic five-ring logo. The coin features edge lettering that says "XXV Olympiad" four times around its circumference. There were 187,552 uncirculated coins produced by the Denver Mint and 504,505 proof coins produced by the San Francisco Mint. These dollars are difficult to find in perfect MS70 condition and are extremely difficult to find in perfect PF70 condition.
