Owner Comments:

The first release of commemorative dollars in 2010 was the American Veterans Disabled for Life Silver Dollar. The obverse features the legs and boots of three veterans, one missing a limb and using crutches. The reverse features a wreath of oak branches and a forget-me-not medallion with the inscription “Take This Moment to Honor Our Disabled Defenders of Freedom.”

There were 78,301 uncirculated and 202,770 proof coins produced by the West Point Mint. The MS70 and PF70 graded dollars are plentiful and easy to find at an affordable price.
