The 2000 millennial edition in the lunar series features a dragon, which is the only mythical creature in the the 12 month Chinese Lunar Calendar. The year 2000 was the first time in 3000 years that a Dragon year coincided with the end of a millennium. This contributes to 2000 Dragon being the most popular coin of the series. It is the first coin of Series1 to reach the 30,000 coin production cap.
