Owner Comments:

Starting in 1908 and ending in 1929 the Gold Quarter Eagle design was changed to the Indian Head type. These were not popular with the collecting community at first and as a result few were saved and years later when they became popular few were available in the higher uncirculated grades. So today finding one is not hard but finding them in Gem preservation or even 64 can be taxing. This example is an all-round solid gem of a type, it has a full strike, nice surfaces and color, and plentiful luster.
