Owner Comments:
The 1951D Washington Carver is a subset key to completing a WC set. In MS66 grade, it has skinny combined populations of the major grading services topping just over 100 pieces with just a handful of plus / star graded coins, 1 MS 67, and a single MS68 topping the charts. This CAC certified coin has a satiny grey colored patina and lustrous surfaces with good reflectivity. It is very clean with minimal marks and a clean jaw line on Washington Carver. The reverse has some gold colored overtones in the centers, a splotch of obverse color in seen at 9:00. Nice overall eye appeal.
Population: PCGS: 55 in 66 (includes 3 in 66+), 1 in 67. NGC: 55 in 66 (with 3 of these in *, 2 in +), 1 higher in 68*. CAC: 12, 0 higher. (10-12)
Update: PCGS: 117 in 66, 5 in 66+, 0 higher. NGC: 56 in 66, 3 in 66+, 1 in 67. CAC: 24 in 66, 0 higher. (10/13) Where did all the new PC 66's come from?
