This 14.138 grams, .9250 Ag, 32.3mm, British 1/2 Crown had a mintage of 4,479,000 and has a very low NGC population of just 41. The obverse of this coin was designed by Thomas Brock and depicts a mature bust of Queen Victoria draped and facing left. The reverse depicts a crowned and quartered spade shield within a wreath with the lettering: FID DEF IND IMP around top, HALF date CROWN below. This coin has a reeded edge.
