This 15.537 grams, .999 Ag, 50 cents, 2012 Silver Lunar Year of the Dragon coin had a limited mintage of 389,161 and features a traditional Chinese dragon, a long, scaled, serpentine creature with four legs, with a "pearl of wisdom" and the Chinese character for "dragon." The Ian Rank- Broadley likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse. This coin comes in a plastic capsule. In the Chinese Lunar Calendar, 2012 is the Year of the Dragon. The dragon is known for its strength, beauty, and noble nature.
