Owner Comments:

This is a CAC approved coin with considerable mint luster remaining in the protected areas. The 1847 Quarter Eagle had a low mintage of only 29,814 coins with a probable survival number of less than 200 pieces. PCGS has only seen 88 submittals for this date, with two thirds of them grading AU-50 or less. This date is rare in properly graded AU-55 or higher grades.
