O'Rourke Collection's Bio
I started collecting coins when I was 12 years old. I had a very nice collection of Lincoln cents, Indian Head cents, Buffalo nickels, Mercury dimes, Franklins, Walkers and more. I had accumulated this collection over aproxilately 6 years while working at a gas station.
That was a time when customers paid in cash. I would check the change everday for a uique coin. Unfortunately the entire collection I had accumulated for all those years disappeared when I went into the Air Force. I am now over 50 years old, and have just recently started recollecting coins. I would like to replace all the coins I lost when I was young, plus maybe now add new ones to my collection. I am mainly interested in Silver now as you can see, with dates between the mid 1800's and 1964, that is with exception to the Eagles, and Presidential dollars which I also love to collect. Right now my focus is on the Franklin Proofs, Silver Eagles, and the Presidential Proofs.
