Colonial Valley Collection's Bio
Like many collectors, I got started collecting at a young age with a Whitman Lincoln Cent album, collecting alongside with my grandfather. He had a single, well worn, Continental Bill in his collection that I always admired as a child. When he dies that bill became a part of my collection and is included in my complete set of Continental Currency.

Around 2006 I read an article from Q. David Bowers that was published in Coin World that started my colonial paper money collection. The article explained that a collector could build a respectable 13 colony set for about $100 per bill. This appealed to me.

Unlike filling the holes in an album, the 13 bills were all different. Different printers, signers and colonies. I have been collecting colonial paper money every since. There are over 500 bills graded by PMG and registered in the Colonial Valley Collection, but the complete collection is much larger with over 1,500 pieces of colonial and continental currency.

If you are interested in collecting colonial paper money or even coins, I would encourage you to join The Colonial Coin Collectors Club, also known as C4. (www.colonialcoins.org)
