Medal, Plaquette, 1923, Bronze, France. THE FOUNDRY, an art nouveau medal by Raoul Lamourdedieu (1877-1953). Obv. In two panels, there is a very busy "Foundry Scene" showing the first steps at the foundry; Rv. In four panels, there are the different steps showing how the metal will be modified from the foundry to a final product; here, this is a Bridge and the name M. Joseph Loiseau. In the exergue, it reads: EXPOSITION DE PHYSIQUE 1923. A very attractive and detailed medal. Edge: Bronze and Hallmark, and with it's original box. Size: 82.31mm x 67.47mm. Purchased in France.
