Pidcock's Exhibition (London) English Conder Tokens.

Pidcock’s Exhibition was a private zoo in the middle of London that featured all kinds of strange and exotic animals on display. Gathered from Asia, Africa, India, Australia and South America, these were certainly not beasts normally seen in the middle of London.

With one or two exceptions all of the Pidcock’s tokens have an animal from the Exhibition on each side. Elephants, zebras, antelopes, lions, rhinos, parrots, monkeys, you name it. Even a two-headed cow, a beaver and a kangaroo.
