1878 50C PR67 Cameo NGC. Type Two Reverse. An essentially brilliant Premium Gem that benefits from thickly iced devices and smooth, reflective fields. The strike is needle-sharp at the borders. A stingy 800 proofs were struck. The grade is surprisingly rare as the population in 67 Cameo is only 2, there are just a few cameos graded in both services.

This is quite possibly the most beautiful proof 1878 Seated Half that I have ever seen. The surfaces are free of both toning and grade-limiting hairlines with a radiant appearance. Fully struck throughout, the frosty finished devices contrast boldly with the deep, glassy fields. A coin with eye appeal to spare.
