The Small Date variety of 1842 Charlotte half eagles is one of the scarcest coins in the series. It is undoubtedly the scarcest of the $5 pieces, and is here presented in "Top-Pop", unsurpassable quality. The more common Large Date variety is also represented by a "Top-Pop", making a "Top-Pop" pair. This showcases the hard work and determination that have gone into curating the Hornets Nest Collection.
