Owner's Description

Teletrade - A solid MS66 with great toning on the Obverse and light rim toning on the Reverse. The color on the Obverse is a great mix of blues, greens, and purples. The Reverse rim has just a touch of gold and blue. In keeping with the observations of noted author Rick Tomaska in his book The Complete Guide to Franklin Half Dollars, "All the known [MS]66's are toned examples (p.63)". The strike is good and contact marks are extremely light. Mr. Tomaska also notes that the 53-P is characteristicly softly struck, with little high-point detail on the Obverse and the Liberty Bell of the Reverse.
