1942 STRIKE: sharp is the rule for the 1942 and bold, fully struck examples are readily available. If you're a stickler for the best, watch for a touch of weakness on Liberty's head or the front of the eagle's left leg.
1942 LUSTER: very rarely toned and the white surfaces have been known to have a particularly wondrous mix of frosty and satiny luster. Most however, exhibit one or the other, glossy or brilliant.
