Early Die State. Curved even date with thick peaked 1's. IBERTY is recut. On the reverse, the C in CENT is almost closed, and there is a small die defect at the base of T in CENT. Well struck with the reverse rotated counterclockwise by approximately twenty degrees. Bright red-tan color on both sides, with some steel-gray toning on the worn obverse highpoints. A couple of small contact marks are noticeable on Liberty's lower cheek.
