Set Description
Though I've been an amateur hobby collector for about 25 years, as of 2008 I've only recently gotten into the realm of investment grade, certified coins. This gallery represents my re-introduction to the realm of coin collecting, or at least my PCGS-certified specimens. In the decades to come, this gallery will also serve to remind me of my pivotal years, going from wheaties in folders to certified gold.

View Coin Lincoln Cent, 1930, MS67RD United States 1C 1930 NGC MS 67 RD Purchased at the Texas Coin Show on 06/14/2008 from TNT Coins, this specimen represents a consolidation of my wife's and my collection, trading in hundreds of common wheat cents and other coins as well as spending for the difference to upgrade to one of the highest grades available.
View Coin St. Gaudens, No Motto, 1908, MS65 United States $20 1908 NO MOTTO PCGS MS 65 Purchased from J.J. Teaparty, a company in Boston, this coin was found at a coin show in Grapevine near Dallas on 06/14/2008. Recent economic trends had pointed me towards investing in gold, and further research pointed me back towards coin collecting, but at a much higher level than in my student days as a casual enthusiast.
