Medal, Plaque, 1918, Bronze, France. ALSACE by George Henri Prudhomme (1873-1947) bronze depicting the Towns Buildings and Church with a nest on a chimney inhabited by two Storks, on the Obverse a female figure, with the traditional dress of Alsace, signature of Prudhomme below. Also celebrating the return of Alsace to France after WWI. Very similar to a series of medals showing the traditional dress of woman in different regions of France created by another medallist by the name of Ernesta Robert-Merignac. Size: 68mm X 51mm, about 2.75" x 2". Weight 5oz. Attractive and Original.
