Medal, Plaque, 1918, Bronze, France. LORRAINE by George Henri Prudhomme (1873-1947) bronze depicting the Cross of Lorraine on the Reverse and a female figure, with the traditional dress of Lorraine, on the Obverse. Also celebrating the return of Lorraine to France after WWI. Very similar to a series of medals showing the traditional dress of woman in different regions of France created by another medallist by the name of Ernesta Robert-Merignac. Size: 68mm X 51mm, about 2.75" x 2". Weight 5oz. Attractive and Original.
