1/2R (1550-58)MOO MEXICO. Operations at the Mexico Mint started in 1536. Assayer O, (Bernardo de Onate) started in the mid-1550's .. No smaller denomination coinage was known to have been produced. Early survival rates of small denonination coins is rare.
