This set will consist mainly of Sutler Tokens and other Politically related Campaign Tokens of this most important time in American History!

Set Goals
I will try to display as many interesting and diverse tokens as possible relating to the political times and army Sutler who followed the troops and supplied them with the necessary goods troops needed that weren’t supplied by the Army.

A very nice Sutler token from the Civil War.This token has been graded MS-63 BN by NGC.Sutlers we’re private merchants who were allowed by the Army to follow troops from various States Militias as well as Regular U.S. Army troops in order to supply troops with goods they may require that the Army did not supply.Many Sutler issued tokens such as this one to supply change and advertise there goods and services to the troops.This Sutler token was issued by S. Whited &Co. for the 97th Illinois Volunteers.
