Owner's Description

Set Specimen: A different variety than my Gem. My variety number 5. "3 berries, small superscript o w/long bar, Regular DE, YJ Wide, Close Tight Date, Left Ribbon longer but not perfect" (Note: This is actually different from my other number 5) A lustrous white example with clash marks on obverse and reverse. The clash marks through "LIMA" on the reverse are unusual. I assume they are formed by the bottom straight-line edge of Liberty's rock on the obverse, though the clashed area seems a bit thick in places for that hypotheses. There is also a scratch through "P" of "POR" on the obverse that is unusual. Without a loupe it appears to be almost a die crack. With a loupe, it appears to be an old scratch that is deep, not something caused by, say, a staple scratching the surface. But I'm really not sure what to make of it.
