Owner's Description

The Vindelic Celts 2nd - 1sr centuries BC AR Quinarius Grade is XF, Strike 3/5, Surface 4/5 Census - NGC does not provide census info on ancient coins :>( The obverse shows a stylized head facing left The reverse shows a horse facing left Kellner Group B This coin is from Vindelicia which identifies the area inhabited by the Vindelici, a region that corresponds to the northeast portion of Switzerland, the southeast of Baden, and the south of Württemberg and Bavaria. Its chief town was refounded by the Romans as Augusta Vindelicorum ("Augusta of the Vindelici", or Augsburg). This coin was the first Celtic coin added to my collection. I selected this coin because it was from an area mostly in Germany. My mom was from Germany. My cost was $110
