Set Description:
20th Century 10 Centavos (Copper-Nickel) 1936-1946
A very short 8 year series. The design is very similar to an equivalent 5 centavos coin minted around the same time period.
At the time of issue, this was not a very popular coin since most Mexicans wanted their silver coins and not this copper-nickel issue.
The design is very detailed using Aztec Pre-Columbian design motifs. The issue is very common and all dates are easily available in BU and can be purchased for very reasonable prices. The key dates in the series are 1937 and 1938 and will cost a bit more in high grade.
This Registry set is relatively new and only has 4 sets as of 1/2020. Hopefully it will grow with time as more collectors come to appreciate these beautiful coins.
