Set Description:
Canadian Masterpiece Set 025
The 'Group of Seven' artists are the pride and joy of Canadian art enthusiasts. Their depiction of Canadiana, as they painted it, is woven into the fabric of Canada's national identity. Many of the original artworks are housed in the McMichael Art Gallery in Kleinburg, a gallery that I hold particularly close to my heart, as I had spent a few years working at the gallery in my early 30s. Unfortunately, the coins can not nearly capture the beauty of the art when viewed in the flesh. The artists at the Royal Canadian Mint selected paintings from each of the 'Group of Seven' artists, and chose to pay homage to them with a silver display of their works. I hope you enjoy each one of these coins, and that one day you are able to make your way to Kleinburg so that you may see the originals! ; Josh
