1833 25C MS61 NGC. B-1, R2. Population (PCGS 0/25, NGC 9/38).
As a date, the 1833 is considered the scarcest within the reduced diameter (1831 to 1838) subtype. It has the lowest reported mintage of the Small or Reduced size quarters with 156,000 pieces coined. Two varieties are known for 1833 quarter dollars, both of which have the same obverse. The B-1 has a period after 25 C on the reverse.
Die State III with notably rusted dies. Splendidly toned in aquamarine, plum-mauve, and orange shades. Well struck and semi-prooflike with a few distributed field marks.
