Owner's Description

The 1996 is prohibitively rare. On the date of acquisition this was the only known MS70 1996 ever graded. 1996 coins are plagued with original mint problems such as scuffs and flea-bites. They also have problems with copper spots. I think the numbers are skewed on the 1996 and that this coin is even rarer than some more high dollar coins such as the 1995 and 1998 half ounce pandas. The 1996 has amazing proof like surfaces and high-reliefs on the panda. This particular coin is no exception.
