Owner's Description

The 1993 proof set is very expensive as the bi-metallic piece is individually desirable. The 1993 coins can be tough to find in good condition. Watch out for copper spots on the reverse side. I traded a fair amount of desirable pandas to get this 1 of 1 1993 PF70 piece. The 1993 and 1994 1/2 gold pandas feature the largest and most detailed fields of any of the proof coins for their respective years. Unlike 1986-1992, during these two years no one ounce proof coins were minted! Although the 1/4 bimetallic pieces command a premium for bi-metallic collectors the details of the 25Y bimetallic coins are the same as the regular 1/4 proof pieces. The size and quality of the 1993 and 1994 1/2 ounce coins make them the key coins for the proof sets during these years. The large reflective looking panda on this coin is imposing and nice.
