Posted: 4/1/2009

CGC and Brian Kondravy are honored and fortunate to announce a special signing with George Tuska in New Jersey. This is a rare opportunity to have books signed by the legendary comic book artist and then certified by CGC with the prestigious CGC Signature Series label.

George Tuska might be best known as the creator with the longest and most prolific Iron Man run of the 1970’s. While with Marvel Comics, George worked on nearly every character at the House of Ideas such as Ghost Rider, Luke Cage, Sub Mariner and the X-Men. George has worked on every genre of comics ranging from superheroes, crime, western and horror stories. His career began in 1939 as an assistant on the Associated Press newspaper comic strip, Scorchy Smith. He also began working in the early 1940s' Eisner Studio along side Nick Cardy, Lou Fine, Bob Powell and Will Eisner. Before going on to work for both Marvel and DC, George worked for Fawcett Comics and Lev Gleason Publications on such titles as Hit Comics, Captain Marvel Adventures and Crime Does Not Pay.

George is now retired, does not travel much, and rarely makes convention appearances. This is a do-not-miss opportunity to have books signed by the legendary creator on April 26, 2009, his 93rd birthday!
